I find some staircases quite interesting and enjoy finding unusual angles and ways to portray them. These were taken in a variety of places, from a disused lighthouse in Northumberland to a free-standing helix in the Louvre in Paris. Also included are staircases in Tate St Ives, in Somerset House in London, a London hotel and a London department store.

This shot was taken in he basement of the Louvre Museum in Paris, under one of the glass pyramids. The distortion produced by the fisheye lens gave the staircase some additional curves.
